As a renowned manufacturer - with the highest quality and technology standards - DENSO® has made an improvement to the electrode material.
By enhancing the material composition of the alloy used for the electrode, a higher wear resistance is achieved. This allows for a smaller diameter of the centre electrode while maintaining the same and even optimizing the service life. In addition, this makes the manufacturer DENSO® less dependent on the highly fluctuating supply of precious metals on the world market. .
DENSO® has marked the new version with an underscore to distinguish these running change spark plugs from the previous range.
This is a "running change" - meaning that the new and old versions merge seamlessly. Mixed installation is therefore not a problem.
The GE3-5 and GK3-5 spark plugs are already being supplied with the new improved alloy.
According to DENSO®, the variants will follow chronologically in the future: GI3-1, GL3-1, GT3-1, GI3-3 & GL3-3.
Following that, the changes will also be applied to the GE3-1, GK3-1, GE5-1, GE2-1, GK3-1 and GN3-1A
